Windwood Dental is a general family dental clinic. We are always welcoming new patients! Drs.

We are committed to providing our patients a high level of dental care ranging from gum/periodontal therapy to cosmetic procedures to orthodontic treatments. Our staff is here to ensure that your dental visit is as pleasant as possible. The Windwood Dental Team is always available to answer any of your dental questions. In Loving Memory of Gail

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gail, our beloved former receptionist who retired in 2022.

Gail was the warm welcome that greeted us all each day. Her genuine smile and kind spirit made everyone feel seen and valued the moment they walked through our doors. Whether it was a cheerful "good morning" or her thoughtful "salams" to those she knew would appreciate it, Gail had a gift for making people feel at home.

For years, she was more than just the first face we saw. She was the heart of our workplace. Her warmth, her care, and her ability to brighten even the most challenging days will not be forgotten.

Though she had moved into a well-deserved retirement, the impact she made during her time with us continues to resonate. We are grateful for the kindness she shared so freely and the countless ways she made our workplace better simply by being herself.

Rest peacefully, Gail. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

One of the most common problems that have arisen during lockdown due to sugary treats is tooth decay and sensitivity. Tooth decay starts off small and can be unnoticeable for a while. The sooner it is detected the sooner our team can treat it. We are pleased to let you know our hygiene staff is back!

The best way to prevent further decay is to ensure you maintain good oral hygiene,⁣⁣⁣

Brush your teeth at least twice a day especially before going to bed at night ⁣⁣⁣

Daily flossing is the best way to clean between the teeth and under the gum line. Flossing not only helps clean these spaces, it disrupts plaque colonies from building up, preventing damage to the gums, teeth, and bone.⁣⁣⁣

🦷 Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice . We want to inform you of some new infection control procedures, we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe at all times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are some of the changes you can expect at our office:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Appointments will be spaced out to allow physical distancing between patients. It will also allow time for their office to be disinfected between each appointment. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment.

• The day before your appointment our staff will ask you questions to see if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.

• You must wear a mask or face covering while in the office except when you are being treated.

•Dental staff will be wearing more protective gear than normal. This includes masks, face shields, and gowns.

• You will be limited to the number of people you bring to the appointment with you. There are exceptions for small children and people who require assistance. Parent or caregiver will also be subject to all screening measures.

•You may be asked to wait outside the dentist's office and call when you arrive. You must then wait for a call back to let you know when you can enter.

• The waiting room will not be open for everyone. Chairs will be spaced two metres apart. There will be no magazines, toys, or any other non-essential items in the dental office, as these are all difficult to disinfect.

• Patients must wash their hands with a 70 to 90 per cent alcohol-based solution, or soap and water, when they enter and leave the dentist's office

As the province gets ready to open, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario will be permitting us to provide an expanded list of in-person services, with enhanced precautions.

We value your safety and the safety of our staff, and have changed our protocols accordingly during this unprecedented time. We ask for your cooperation at all times, and it will be difficult to provide treatment for those who do not adhere to the new regulations.
