Stay safe. If you see something, say something.
Heightened Threat Environment – Recent events may increase terrorism potential
Right now, the United States is in a heightened threat environment, underscored by tragic events such as the recent mass shooting in Austin, Texas, in which two people lost their lives, and several were injured. The FBI is actively investigating possible connections to terrorism.
While there's no credible information at this time indicating any specific threat here in Tulsa or across Oklahoma, incidents like this remind us that risks can appear anywhere, even in our community.
That's why public awareness is very important.
The Department of Homeland Security's "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign is a simple yet powerful tool we all share. Trust your gut if you notice anything that feels off, such as:
• Unusual or suspicious behavior
• Unattended bags, packages, or items in public spaces
• Other activities that just don't seem right
..please don't hesitate to act. Your observation could prevent something serious.
In Tulsa, reporting is easy:
• For emergencies: Call 911 right away
• For non-emergencies or tips: use the non-emergency number 918-596-9222
Every tip counts: you could be the difference that keeps our city safe.
Let's stay vigilant, stay connected, and look out for one another.
