Stress doesn’t just affect the mind.
It can show up in the body too.
When stress stays unresolved, the nervous system can remain in protection mode:
→ Stress
→ Nervous system activation
→ Stress hormones increase
→ Muscles tighten and brace
→ Pain pathways become more sensitive
→ Chronic symptoms
This is why stress can sometimes show up as things like back pain, headaches, jaw tension, digestive issues, or fatigue.
This doesn’t mean symptoms are imagined.
It means the nervous system may be under too much pressure for too long.
The hopeful part: the brain and body can learn safety again.
