Hello there! I hope I find everybody well.

It has been a crazy week with all the fires going, temperature, dryness, accidents and.. the world never stops!

This post is just to have this in mind while we keep up with our daily routine. Btw, how many cups of water have you drank today?

Heatstrokes are primarily caused by passive exposure to high ambient temperatures, by strenuous physical activity increaing heat generation.
It could happen to anyone, children, older adults and chronically ill individuals. Athletes, agricultural workers, military personnel and firefighter are at higher risk!

Here are a few things you should be aware of if it happens to anyone around you.

Keep in mind that we are all at risk of presenting Heat exhaustion, heat syncope, heat cramps, heat rash or edema. This is just the "worst case scenario" that is PREVENTABLE by detecting it on time!

DO NOT use any medication / antipyretics, they are ineffective in heatstroke. They may even be harmful.

And.. if you didn´t answer at least 11 cups of water, it's still early to do it ! Your kidneys, muscle and heart will thank you later! ❤️
