Here we are… Another New Year’s Eve.

2025 had a lot of ups and a lot of downs. Even so, this year I was able to build my own practice – something I’m incredibly proud of. Achieving a dream I’ve had for a lifelong dream of mine.

However, the most important of the journey is that I ended up being able to do what I love the most – helping people. I am so grateful that I am able to do this job every day, and I am in awe of the people I get to know and feel honoured every day that they choose me to witness their resilience and walk with them as they heal and grow.

Things can change very quickly – even when you feel like there’s no hope, you can always rise from the ashes. All you have to do is find the ember that’s still burning 🧡

Let this be a reminder that things will be OK. Even if it takes some time.

🗓️ BPD Panel – Coffee & Connection Event
Join us this Sunday, September 21st from 1–3pm for a casual, thoughtful discussion on Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and BPD traits.

Originally scheduled for August, we moved the date to September to give more folks a chance to attend — and I’d love to see you there!

Whether you’re a therapist, student, or intern, this space is open to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of BPD, learn more about how these traits show up in therapy, and ask questions in a non-judgmental, informal setting.

☕ We’ll explore:
• What BPD traits can look like in real life
• Why this matters, even when clients don’t meet full diagnostic criteria
• How we can support clients navigating emotional intensity, relational fears, and identity challenges

This is a free event — just reach out if you’d like to attend so we can save you a spot.

📍Moncton • Sept 21 • 1–3pm

Let’s connect, reflect, and grow together 💬🧡

The changing seasons are a great time to pause and check in with yourself. As routines shift and the pace picks up again, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally off-balance.

Here are a few ways to support your mental health this season:
🧣 Notice the shifts. Fall often brings transition—new schedules, shorter days, and emotional change. Give yourself space to adjust.
🍵 Simplify where you can. You don’t have to do it all. Let your energy guide your yes and no.
🕯️ Ground in small rituals. Cozy routines, hot drinks, soft music—these cues help soothe your nervous system.
📓 Reflect. What are you holding onto that no longer serves you? What do you want to carry forward?

Whether you’re a therapist, a student, or someone simply navigating life—this time of year can stir a lot beneath the surface. You’re not alone in feeling it.

🧡 Save this as a gentle reminder.
📩 Share with someone who could use a seasonal check-in.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day — a day to reflect, to reach out, and to remind each other that even when things feel heavy, there is still hope.

Ember Counselling therapy was inspired by the ideology of the phoenix. About the strength it takes to rise, even when everything around you feels like ashes. Healing can take time, and it’s not always linear, but it is possible. You are not alone in this.

If you’re struggling, please hear this:
🌅 Your life matters
🌱 You are not alone
💛 You are not a burden
🔥 You are needed, exactly as you are

Suffering isn’t always visible. Sometimes the strongest people are carrying the heaviest things. That’s why checking in matters — with your friends, your family, yourself. A simple "How are you really?" can open a door that felt shut.

We all need reminders sometimes. That we are loved. That support is out there. That there is still something good waiting for us in the morning.

If you’re someone who supports others for a living, take a moment to check in with yourself today too.

If you are in crisis or someone you know is in danger:
📞 Call 9-1-1 or your local emergency number
📱 Talk Su***de Canada: 1-833-456-4566
💬 Text or call 9-8-8 | Free and confidential support 24/7

You matter. You are loved. Keep going.

🌿 Thinking about starting therapy? Now might be the right time.

Whether you're feeling emotionally overwhelmed or just stuck in old patterns, therapy can offer clarity and support.
I work with individuals and couples on challenges like:

💬 Ongoing relationship stress or communication issues
💔 Disconnection or conflict in your relationship
🌊 Emotional ups and downs that feel hard to manage
😞 Grief, anger, anxiety, or low mood that keeps resurfacing
🧠 Learning how to self-regulate and cope in healthier ways

You don’t need to wait for things to get worse before reaching out.
Therapy is also a place for growth, healing, and understanding yourself and your relationships more deeply.

🧡 I offer in-person counselling in Moncton and virtual sessions across New Brunswick. My schedule is filling up quickly and space is limited — book now to reserve your spot before a waitlist starts.

👉 Free 15-minute consults and direct billing available. Link in bio to get started.
