This year, we opened the National Summit with a long-term commitment to the profession: supporting the University of Waterloo’s Seeing Beyond 20/20 campaign and the development of the Waterloo Eye Institute. Joining us to accept the donation was Lisa Maxwell from the University of Waterloo Advancement of Independent Optometry Club (UWAIOC), accompanied by several students who came to share in the celebration.

The evening unfolded through a wine-pairing led by Angela Aiello “Super Wine Girl” and MC Rob Pagetto, whose friendly guidance and lively spirit set the tone for the weekend. The program was elevated even further by a beautiful musical performance from Sabrina Ferland. ✨

Cette année, nous avons lancé notre Sommet national avec un engagement à long terme envers notre profession : soutenir la campagne Seeing Beyond 20/20 de l’University of Waterloo ainsi que le développement du Waterloo Eye Institute.

Lisa Maxwell, représentante du University of Waterloo Advancement of Independent Optometry Club (UWAIOC), s’est jointe à nous pour recevoir le don, accompagnée de plusieurs étudiants.

La soirée s’est déroulée autour d’un accord mets-vin animé par la « Super Wine Girl » Angela Aiello et le maître de cérémonie, Rob Pagetto, dont les conseils et l’enthousiasme ont donné le ton à un week-end placé sous le signe de la convivialité. Pour clore la soirée en beauté, nous avons eu droit à une magnifique prestation musicale de Sabrina Ferland. ✨

We want to thank everyone who participated in last night’s Frame Ceremony, including all third-year School of Optometry & Vision Science students and the Canadian Association of Optometry Students team. We had such a wonderful time chatting about your passions and prospects. The highlight of the evening was handing out frames from our exclusive Avenue Eyewear collection!

We’re so excited to be hosting our first Frame Ceremony! Taking place tonight at the School of Optometry & Vision Science, the happening welcomes more than 100 future optometrists, each of whom will receive an exclusive frame from Avenue Eyewear.

The event also welcomes special guest Dr. Munsa Rana-Sehdev, 2021 graduate from IAUPR-School of Optometry in Puerto Rico and owner of Eyeology in Brampton, ON.

It’s a wrap for our 2022 HR Bootcamp series!

This year, Vision Entrepreneur travelled across Canada to Waterloo, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary and Quebec City. The goal of the trainings is to sharpen human resources management skills for practice owners and managers.

Thank you to all the participants. We hope you enjoyed your experience and applied the new knowledge you gained.
