A Reiki practitioner channels healing energy through a process that’s based on intention, focus, and the belief in a universal life force energy. ❤️
🙏 Here’s how it works, step by step:
1. Attunement: First, the practitioner is attuned to Reiki energy by a Reiki Master. This process is said to open the practitioner’s energy channels so they can act as a conduit for the universal life force energy.
2. Setting Intention: The practitioner sets a clear intention to channel healing energy for the recipient’s highest good. Intention is key in Reiki—it’s believed to direct the flow of energy.
3. Channeling Energy: During a session, the practitioner either places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient’s body. They don’t use their own energy; instead, they act as a channel or vessel for the Reiki energy to flow through them and into the recipient.
4. Intuitive Guidance: Practitioners often use intuition or scan the body for energy blockages, spending more time in areas where they feel imbalance.
5. The Energy Itself: Reiki energy is considered intelligent and self-guided—it flows where it’s needed most. Recipients often report sensations like warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation.
6. Closing the Session: After the session, the practitioner typically grounds the energy, seals it in, and may offer observations or insights.

I loved this Workshop. ❤️
Qi Gong and Reiki go so well together and I am excited to incorporate Qi Gong in my Sessions as well as to share these techniques with my students.
Thank you to Medical Qi Gong Intensive with Master Philip Lai and our hostess Celina Brady for sharing your knowledge in this Workshop.

Qi gong is an ancient Chinese practice that blends movement, breath, and intention to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit. It increases our inner vital life force… while removing blockages.

🌿 Physical Benefits
1. Improves circulation and oxygen flow – Gentle, rhythmic movements open energy channels and enhance blood and lymph flow.
2. Strengthens the immune system – Regular Qi Gong practice boosts vitality and resilience.
3. Reduces tension and pain – The slow, mindful movement relaxes muscles and joints, helping chronic pain or stiffness.
4. Enhances balance and coordination – Builds stability, especially helpful as we age.
5. Supports organ health – Specific Qi Gong sets target organs (like lungs, liver, or kidneys) to promote internal harmony.

🌀 Mental & Emotional Benefits
1. Calms the nervous system – Deep, rhythmic breathing shifts you into parasympathetic (rest and repair) mode.
2. Releases emotional blockages – Movements help release stored emotions such as grief, anger, or worry.
3. Sharpens focus and clarity – The meditative aspect quiets the mind and enhances awareness.
4. Reduces anxiety and depression – Gentle energy flow lifts mood and brings inner peace.
5. Builds emotional resilience – Qi Gong teaches you to move energy instead of holding on to it.

Usui Sensei Updated History: by Su Mach'ado Centro de Treinamento de Reiki - Felicidade

This excerpt is taken from Su’s most recent article. The complete article provides further detail and context.

In April 2025, newly uncovered archives in Taiwan revealed original government documents about Mikao Usui Sensei, the founder of Usui Reiki Ryoho. These findings confirm details of his education, professional background, and his role as a government official during Japan’s colonial administration of Taiwan.

The records (dated August 23, 1904) show that Usui was appointed by Gotō Shinpei as a temporary employee of the Taiwan Traditional Customs Research Committee. His work involved studying local customs, language, and traditions to support policymaking.

-His handwritten résumé in the archives details:
-Graduation from Kayo School (1885).
-English studies in Tokyo (1889–1891).
-Literature and psychology studies (1893).
-Law studies at Nihon University (1893).
-Study of psychology and philosophy at Hocking School, USA (1895–1896).
-Teaching certification (1894).
-Roles as educator, school founder, business advisor, and even working in San Francisco.

These records provide evidence-based clarity to Usui’s life, reinforcing what was written on the Usui Memorial Stone, and confirm his connection with Gotō Shinpei, who later awarded him for relief efforts after the 1923 Great Kantō Earthquake.

This discovery is considered one of the most important in 30 years of Reiki history research.
