Ever try to “save calories” during the day so you can eat more later? You skip breakfast, keep lunch light, and tell yourself you’ve got it under control… 😅

Then evening comes and suddenly you’re starving. It feels like you’re eating less, but really you’re just delaying hunger until the time of day when it’s hardest to manage.

Balanced eating is about actually fuelling your body consistently so you’re not fighting cravings at night. That’s usually where real consistency starts 👍

Last week we talked about why fat loss feels so hard when your schedule is all over the place.

So what do you actually do about it? 🤔

Focus on a few things you can stick to no matter what your week looks like!

Prioritizing protein helps keep you full and makes your meals more consistent. Strength training helps you get more out of the time you do have and makes fat loss easier over time 🏋️♂️

It also helps to plan for the moments that usually throw things off. Meals out, busy weekends… a few small adjustments can keep you on track without overthinking it 🍽️

And if a day doesn’t go as planned, don’t restart. Just get back to it at the next meal or training session👍

Are you having shoulder pain during your bench press or overhead press? 🤔

A lot of the time, it comes down to poor shoulder blade control. If your upper back isn’t doing its job, your shoulders end up taking on more stress than they should. That’s where band pull-aparts come in. They help you engage your upper back and put your shoulders in a stronger, more stable position before you press.

Another common issue is your shoulder blade not moving properly as your arm goes overhead. That’s when things can start to feel pinchy or unstable. Scap push-ups help fix that by improving how your shoulder blade moves and supports your arm during pressing.

And sometimes, it’s just a lack of mobility through your upper back. When that area is stiff, your shoulders and lower back try to compensate. Thoracic extensions on a foam roller help free things up so your shoulders don’t have to do extra work during your lifts.
