I know what it’s like to feel stuck.😣

At the beginning of this year it happened again and I ignored all the signs that I was spiraling:

- More doom scrolling
- Too exhausted to cook
- Avoiding texts and phone calls
- Snapping at my family
- Feeling cut off from my creativity and inspiration
- Anxiety about the future
- Avoiding responsibilities
- Dancing between blaming myself and feeling sorry for myself

At the same time, I was:

- avoiding my morning meditation
- making excuses not to go to the gym
- And I stopped practicing yoga.

All the things that I already know help me to feel good, I wasn’t doing. And even when I became fully aware that I was in a bad place, it took a while (and lots of help and support) for me to decide to turn the ship of my life around.

I started with morning emotional check-ins and prayers.
Then added slow sun salutations.
Then Breath of Fire.

I started reading yogic scriptures and uplifting books instead of doom scrolling. And committed myself to daily movement, relaxation and spiritual practice.

Slowly, one day at a time, I felt my energy and inspiration return.

The shift showed up in my life as:

✨ Being more present on my walks and stopping to appreciate the sound of birds and the sun on my face
✨ Making plans with friends again
✨ Becoming closer to my partner and more playful with my kid
✨ Feeling surges of love and gratitude for my yoga students
✨ Waking up happy(!) and filled with creative ideas
✨ Feeling connected to my soul and higher power
✨ Feeling motivated about the future
✨ Saying yes to new opportunities and projects
✨ Better confidence and self-image
✨ More capacity to love and feel joy

Plus, I had an intuitive download to share some of my process for getting unstuck through an online series, using powerful yoga practices + wisdom that have helped me and hundreds of my students shift and transform their lives over the past 2 decades.

And because we were never meant to heal in a vacuum, I’ve also included structured sharing circles at the end of each class.

Your nervous system is always taking in the world around you… especially through sound.👂🏼

Some sounds tell your body, “you’re safe,” and that alone can help your system soften. 😌

Natural sounds —like waves, rain, wind through trees, gentle birdsong, or cicadas—support stress recovery more than quiet.

In nine different studies, people exposed to natural soundscapes showed calmer heart rates, steadier breathing, and lower blood pressure, compared with those sitting in silence. ❤️😌

Sometimes regulation really IS this simple. Let a natural soundscape wash over you and notice what shifts. 🌧️ 🌊 🐦 🌬️

Ahhh yes…that “going with the flow” feeling after yoga 😌

In our modern world, it’s easy to move hurriedly through the day, multi-tasking and trying to stay “in control”. When something slows us down or doesn’t go as planned, we often meet it with resistance.⁠

Over time, this can create tension and exhaustion—mentally and physically.

Yoga offers another way. Through practice, we can begin to soften and explore Ishvara Pranidhana (surrendering to a higher power)—allowing us to meet challenges and joys with presence, an open heart and acceptance.⁠

When you need a reminder, simply go or look outside. Nature really knows how to go with the flow 🦭⁠🫶🏼
