April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day.
At L’Arche, we celebrate the unique gifts of people on the autism spectrum and recognize the importance of building communities where everyone belongs. Inclusion is not just about awareness—it’s about relationships, dignity, and creating spaces where each person can be fully themselves.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day.
This year's theme is "Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value" to highlight and affirm the dignity and worth of all people with Autism as part of our shared human future.
Globally, an estimated 1 in 127 people are on the autism spectrum. (WHO, 2021) This reminds us how essential it is to foster deeper understanding, genuine acceptance, and truly inclusive supports for all.
At L’Arche Stratford, we honour the many ways people see and experience the world. Every perspective enriches the community. Every person belongs. We are committed to offering meaningful support, companionship, and a place of welcome for each individual and their family.
