A study showed that when a person sneezes :

- Large infectious droplets (length 20 microns) were found at a 1m distance and took 4 minutes to fall to the floor (bacteria).
- Small infectious droplets (length 10 microns) reached 1.5 m and took 17 minutes to fall to the floor (spores).
- As for infectious droplet nuclei (1-3 microns) were found up to 48 meters away from the person sneezing. The viruses remained suspended indefinitely in the air.
