Our Home Care Assistance students were treated to a fun and informative presentation by Karla, from HomeCare Solutions, who's passion is adding joy to the lives of their clients.
Karla spoke about her personal experiences and successes, from working as an LPN to now as a case manager with this homecare organization.

Some topics covered regarding a profession in Home Care were:
-Workplace setting and conditions
-Types of clientele
-A typical day as a health care worker
-Scope of practice (Bill 90)
-The importance of caring, empathy, communication techniques and professionalism.
