Hardstyle Kettlebell Mtl is a school where we teach people how to move better and encourage them to move often. We train movement patterns rather than muscle groups, and pay special attention to how each movement is performed, reinforcing quality over quantity. We emphasize and teach the skill of strength and flexibility/mobility, and strive for balance and symmetry in each, like Yin and Yang. Our training philosophy can be compared to traditional Martial Arts because we challenge our students to “practice” rather than “workout”. We are about the underlying principles, not just the tools used. We train and teach through the use of minimal equipment, such as kettlebells and one’s own bodyweight because we believe that simplicity is key and less is more when focusing on attaining results. Our classes and programs are fun, effective, unique and stimulating for everyone, from beginners to athletes and all ages groups. We never compromise quality and our number one concern is “do no harm”. We are known for making strength and flexibility easy and attainable to anyone, and most of all enjoyable for life. Everyone that comes through our door goes though a movement assessment and is consulted for a training program to fit their schedule and budget. We set goals for our students and standards for them to achieve. We work our hardest to attain them together. For rates and hours, please visit www.hardstylekettlebell.ca

Sliding Single KB Complex 🔥
Not random. Not rushed. Fully intentional.
This complex slides the reps —
intensity stays high while fatigue is managed.
How it works 👇
🔹 Round 1
• Row – 1 rep
• Clean – 2 reps
• Press – 2 reps
• Lunge – 2 reps
You keep sliding the reps until the last round finishes with 1 lunge.
Why we use it:
• Full-body tension
• Grip & core demand
• Strength under control
• Conditioning without chaos
This isn’t about getting tired.
It’s about staying sharp while the load talks back.
Control the reps.
Own every transition.
Build strength that lasts.

Power doesn’t start at the hips.
It starts at the feet.

Most swing problems aren’t strength problems.
They’re timing problems.
Stand over top four or five stacked yoga blocks.
On the way down, don’t hit the blocks.
If your hips hinge too early → you crash.
Wait for the bell + Maintain you plank + Hinge back at the last moment = correct timing.
Simple fix. Immediate feedback.

Swing. Clean. Press. Squat. Sn**ch.
Five moves. One kettlebell. Controlled chaos.
➡️ Singles only
➡️ Chain them together
➡️ Two chains back-to-back
➡️ Both sides
➡️ Don’t put the bell down
Train solo for focus…
or grab a partner, match the rhythm, and turn hard work into play.
Strength hits different when it flows. 💥

YOUR STRENGTH HAS A GREATER PURPOSE BESIDES LIFTING HEAVY THINGS.
This is a great and powerful message about the power of strength training. It's our ability to resist and push back external as well as internal forces. This is confirmation that training the body reinforces the mind.

We are a school where we teach people how to MOVE BETTER and encourage them to MOVE MORE OFTEN. We train movements that challenge the entire body rather than isolating muscle groups, and pay we special attention to how each movement is performed, reinforcing quality over quantity.
Our PURPOSE is to make our students into better, stronger and more functional human beings for life. Everything we do here applies to everyday activities, and every exercise you perform will have a positive carryover to what you do outside the gym.
We emphasize and teach SKILLS of movement, strength and flexibility/mobility through better AWARENESS and strive for balance and symmetry in each, like Yin and Yang. Our training philosophy can be compared to traditional Martial Arts because we challenge our students to “practice” rather than “workout”. We are about the underlying principles, not just the tools used. This is mindful movement.
We train and teach through the use of minimal equipment, such as kettlebells and one’s own bodyweight because we believe that SIMPLICITY is key and less is more when focusing on attaining results.
We believe that just the right amount of exercise will have the greatest and most beneficial effect, and doing more would be wasted energy. We never train or exercise to complete exhaustion, always leaving some in the tank. This is the “minimum effective dose”. It is safer and more sustainable longer term. Our training sessions have to be repeatable and our goal is your success.
Our classes and programs are FUN, effective, unique and stimulating for everyone, from beginners to athletes and all ages groups. You will be challenged at your level of fitness without feeling defeated. Instead, our environment is friendly and non-competitive. We never compromise quality and our number one concern is “do no harm”. We are known for making fitness easy and attainable to anyone, and most of all enjoyable for life.
