Last minute cancellations…..
The pros and cons of this type of small business is the unstable income- the ebbs and flows of last minute cancellations and no show appointments.

It’s Thursday…….and this week I’ve already had 11 cancellations -due to mostly illness- some lack of sitters for their children to come to their massage and some unknown reasons.
Like what??

I do have a no show fee and charge that accordingly however when it’s not always in their control like themselves being sick or their children being sick, I don’t charge.

This post is not to make those feel bad for late canceling if it’s out of their control- I’d rather you not share your germs with me and take the space and time to heal.
This post is simply to bring awareness of how hard being self employed in the appointment service industry sometimes is.

HOWEVER! Today I am also blessed with this career choice. I get to adjust my schedule and go watch my son play school soccer in the championship game today!! So there’s big Pros too :)

I will be taking a bit more time away from work- summer is flying by and I need some more slower days to recharge- to soak in the sun, watch more sunsets, hear my kiddos laughter, bike the trails in nature and of course- taste test a few more ice cream flavors (when I’ll really just choose bubble gum every single time) 😉
