An absolute favourite pose and it fits perfectly with our heart chakra opening we've been doing this month in class.

Begin in a tabletop position on your hands and knees, with knees directly under the hips.
Walk your hands forward while keeping your hips stacked directly over your knees.
Exhale and lower your chest and forehead toward the floor, keeping your arms active, elbows lifted, and palms pressing into the mat.
Hold for 30 seconds to 3 minutes, breathing deeply into the chest. To exit, walk your hands back toward your shoulders.

For sensitive knees, place a blanket or mat padding under your knees.
If the forehead doesn't reach the floor, use a yoga block or pillow for support under your forehead or chest.

Today's new moon in Aries is the perfect chance to shake off the dust of the last month (or two or three) and set yourself a direction for the rest of the astrological year.

The planets have been a little messy lately and it all culminates today so if things have been feeling foggy and muddled this is the chance to shake it off, clear it up, and set the compass for a clearer direction in the more steady season of Ta**us that begins Sunday.

Take 5 minutes to stop and try this mantra meditation.
Set a timer and close your eyes. When you inhale say the words (out loud or in your head) I renew. When you exhale say the words I release. Your mind will drift and that's ok. Every time you notice, come back to the words I renew and I release.

Just a few minutes is enough to reset the nervous system and become more prepared to take on the world in a calmer, more deliberate way.
