Pause. Reflect. Remember.

Not all heroes wear capes. Lots of them walk among us daily (many through the halls of my clinic 💙) Each one with a story that shares similarities, but also so many differences. All are an integral thread of the fabric woven together to create a beautiful tapestry of hope, resilience and freedom.

Lest we forget

So many people live with unexplained swelling - sometimes for years - without realizing it could be lymphedema. 💙

The good news? With the right care and early recognition, there are ways to manage it and feel better day-to-day.

If you’ve noticed swelling that doesn’t seem to go away (especially after surgery, radiation, or injury), it’s always worth asking your healthcare provider about it.

The more we talk about lymphedema, the more people can get the help they need. 💪

Did you know that deep belly breathing can help move lymph through your body?

Because your lymphatic system doesn't have a pump like your vascular system (heart pumps blood), the lymphatic system relies on your diaphragm, gentle movement, and MLD to keep things flowing.

So before the weekend begins, pause for a moment and take three deep breaths. Your body (and your lymph) will thank you 💚

Hi, it’s me. Just your local lymph-loving, colour-obsessed massage therapist doing her best not to wear her shirt inside out… again.
Most days are a mix of calm and mild chaos—manual lymph drainage in the morning, chasing down lost pens (and coffee cups) by noon, and daydreaming about fabric prints by 3.
It’s a little messy, a lot meaningful, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Thanks for being part of the ride.
