Nakusp Hospice Society Heart centered support for those experiencing declining health, end-of-life and grief and bereavement

12/13/2025

Hello beautiful community! Would love if you joined us tomorrow at 2pm for a free community presentation brought to you by myself and the Nakusp Hospice Society. Topics include the services available through our local Hospice Society, what a Death Doula does (and doesn't) do, and the differences between the two.

I will also be sharing tips on navigating grief and loss during the holiday season. Whether you are on your own grief journey or wanting to be better equipped at supporting your loved ones through theirs, the holidays can be a particularly challenging time. When you are missing a loved one the pressure to be "merry, cheery and bright" can be truly overwhelming.

This will be a very casual event with room for questions, connecting and snacking at the end.

Everyone is welcome and hope to see you.🩵

It’s not too late to register for the upcoming Hospice Volunteer Training 🦋

Hospice volunteering introduces you to people from all walks of life, each with their own unique story. Serving hospice patients in the last days of their lives helps bring them comfort, especially if they don’t have any family with them. Even though working with people in hospice can be challenging, the benefits of volunteering make it a fulfilling experience.

As a hospice volunteer, you have a considerable impact on the quality of life for people receiving hospice care. Everything you do with patients – from simply holding their hand to joining in their hobbies – helps make a difference in their lives.
