πŸ“ž Volunteer from Home β€” Help Someone Feel Less Alone

Do you have an hour and a half a week to make a meaningful difference in someone’s day?

The Nanaimo Lifeline Check-In Service is looking for caring volunteers to make friendly social phone calls to seniors and medically vulnerable people in our community who may be experiencing isolation.

This is a simple but powerful way to support someone’s wellbeing β€” a short conversation can brighten a day, provide reassurance, and help people feel connected.

What the role looks like:
β€’ Make a series of friendly check-in calls once a week
β€’ Calls take place from the comfort of your own home
β€’ Total time commitment: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Current volunteer openings:
πŸ“… Tuesdays
πŸ“… Thursdays

No special experience is required β€” just kindness, reliability, and a willingness to connect.

If you enjoy conversation and want to give back to your community in a meaningful way, we would love to hear from you.
