We will have an Occupational First Aid Level 3 starting on the 15th of April for 2 weeks. There is still some available space. Well, 2023 has had an excellent start. We have already ran many OFA level 1 courses, as well as, a OFA Level 2 program and now we are heading into OFA 3 courses. We can't express how much we appreciate the loyalty of our clients to come back certification after certification. This is our 27th year in business and my 18th "at the helm". Thank you to all of you for being the best clients and over the years some great friends.

Happy 2021! We will be offering a OFA 3 course from Jan. 25 to Feb. 1. We have dialed in our new COVID training plans since August and our safety measures in place are second to none. Please give our office a call at 250-756-7770 for any CPR level or Worksafebc training and certification requirements. We also sell First aid equipment and P.P.E. so let us know if we an help.

Today we remember all the brave men and women who have laid down their lives, sacrificed everything so we could be here today. We thank all those serving, not only our great country, but also all those who serve without thought in our communities in all emergency services. I am honoured to serve my community through Fire/ Rescue.

Gone but never forgotten ....Rememberance is our appreciation today.

This has been a hard year for everyone. We have personally lost the last member of our family this year during COVID that was alive and survived the horrible times we remember today.

Please hug your family, give them a kiss and spend the day with those most important to you. This is what all those that lost there lives fought for. This is still the reason I respond anytime of the day or night to a page for help. This world can be cold and heartless and we all need to help each other during times like these.

Now that Vancouver Island seems to be becoming a safer atmosphere, we are happy to announce that we are in the process of gearing back up for training. Courses will be slightly different in regards to size as well as the PPE requirements to attend. All students will be required to complete a health check prior to attending class. We will be starting with OFA level 1 day courses and slowly progress to the OFA level 2 1 week classes and hopefully we will be back in full swing for August OFA 3 2 week classes. Please contact the office at 250756770 and speak with Thea to get information on dates. Due to the smaller class sizes we will try to accommodate with more classes. Thank you and be safe.

As of Tuesday, March 17th, Advanced/Coast First Aid Services Inc. has postponed all training to public and private clients due to the COVID 19 safety concerns. Today, March 20th, we have also made the decision to close our facility completely to the public or any persons outside of our families. These are unprecedented times and our hearts are with everyone taking financial hardships. We feel every single one of those concerns. I will be focusing on my children and attempting to make this transition they are experiencing as normal and non threatening as I can and encourage everyone to remember there are many elderly and youth that need us to be strong. If anyone needs something that we may be able to help with, please message us and I personally will respond and do whatever I can to assist.

November 2nd we hold close to our heart as we lost our founder 5yrs ago. Jim Launay was a dedicated father and husband.... but to me he was a leader, a mentor and one of my best friends. It's always hard losing an important member in our lives but everyday I instruct a student, his legacy continues and every call I attend with his/my firehall I know he's proud of the job I do. He taught and influenced so many people in his role with NCFD and this company. We continue to instruct and push forward in his memory. RIP Jim.

My apologies as I have not updated our page in a while, however we have had a great first year at our new location and the schedule is filling back up for Fall. We have quite a few Level 1 courses, a Transport Endorsement and a Level 2 to complete August. We hope everyone has a safe long weekend. My apologies for no recent updated but we have been so busy no one has had time. We have an OFA level 3 two week class starting Monday at our training facility on Northfield Rd We are just finishing a 1 week Level 2 this week but we have another Level 2 scheduled for May if anyone is in need. Our attendance numbers for all levels has been fantastic since our move and we wanted to thank all of those who spread news about our agency. Hope everyone's year is going great. Everything is coming together quite nicely at our new location 2100 Northfield Rd. Our new signage is up now which is very easy to spot from either direction on Northfield Rd.
Just an update on our schedule. We are fully booked for the rest of February and starting into the 2nd week of March. We can still look at weekend and evening courses but Mon- Fri days are full.
We have OFA level 3 2 week courses running March 25 - April 5, April 22 - May 3, and May 13 - 24.
We have spots left in our March 18 - 22 OFA 2 1 week course as well.
Our Basic Life Support Heart and Stroke classes have been very successful, as well the Heartsaver level of CPR-C classes from the Heart and Stroke Foundation if you are looking at a smaller time commitment that gives you great skills.
