This past weekend we had the honor of welcoming The Nanaimo Chinese Cultural Society 纳奈莫华人文化联谊会 for a wonderful dance performance here at Lakeside Gardens. Last week was all about Scotland!
We had lots of fun visiting Scotland during our Armchair Travel.
We also hosted the Lakeside Highland Games. Throwing rubber boots at "Welly Wangin" made for a good laugh.
The residents enjoyed the highland dance performance by the Brigadoon Dance Academy.
The grande finale to the week was a traditional Robbie Burns Dinner and Toast to the Haggis. We would like to extend a great big thank you to the Pipe Band for their lovely performance.
