In my practice, I often come across the fear of falling. For many, especially after experiencing a fall, the anxiety does not simply disappear. It lingers in the body, creating ongoing tension and hyper-vigilance, which may increase the likelihood of falling again. Have you had a fall that left you feeling unsure or shaken? What makes your heart sing? Since I have become a passionate Tango dancer, I have been reflecting on the idea of passion, and how it relates to healing and living a healthy, vibrant life.
In conversations with some friends, I realized not everyone has a strong passion. Instead, what often creates meaning in people’s lives are the small things: sharing a good conversation with a dear friend, helping an elderly neighbor with a task or cherishing simple moments with family. Spring is in the air! This seems to be a good time to talk about walking. I am a big fan of walking as it is a simple activity that you can do at any time anywhere – without any special equipment or special trainings. We don’t necessarily have to go to a gym or exercise class to support our health. As science suggests walking regularly has many health benefits such as weight regulation, better sleep or improved gut health. Walking has been humanity’s best medicine for millennia!

Walking is by far one of the simplest and most-effective form of exercise that has tremendous health benefits.
