Floating is a practice where you enter into a float tank (also called a float pod or sensory deprivation tank) which is a well-engineered enclosed tub or filled with 10" of water that has 800 lbs. of dissolved Epsom salts in it. The individual lies down in the water and floats effortlessly and weightless. The water is heated to the same temperature as the surface of your skin so that you cease to feel the water, adding to the sensation that you are 'floating'. The tank is light-proof and sound-proof and has a neutral smell so as to have as little sensory impact as possible. Floating has been proven to relieve back pain, muscle pain, fibromyalgia, stress, anxiety, depression and aid in injury recovery. It also boosts your mood and aids in creative thought, problem solving & a overall sense of well-being. Best of all the efffects of floatation are cumulative --- the more you float, the better you feel.

Let me get this straight..BC parents can get $40/day/child from ol' Crusty the Clark - that would be about $1200/day for a 30kid classroom..

Hey folks...FYI, we are no longer opening any time for the foreseeable future. As some of you may understand, opening a business is a serious venture that requires a lot of work, and in our case, a lot of money. Our funding issues are the only thing preventing us from bringing this incredible technology to the island masses. We were very confident in this venture, but alas it is not to be at the moment - timing is everything. We suggest those of you truly interested in exploring this amazing thing called 'floating' to check out & support Bent Tree Wellness, they are apparently opening soon, if not already, with their own float tank.
