Presentation by Board of Directors Vice President, Kelly:
Thank you for joining us on this chilly, but beautiful day. On behalf of The Board, I would like to take the time to welcome Taylorβs family; her mom Erin, her sisters, Hannah, Sophie & her Aunt Susie. We would also like to welcome all of Taylorβs close friends both at home, and of course, here at Community Living.
We are gathered today to celebrate Taylor. Not only her beautiful life, but also the joy
and happiness she shared with us everyday. Even when life was not always kind.
Whenever, I saw Taylor through the years, she always had a sparkle in her eye, and a
smile, or giggle to pass along, and boy, was it contagious, you couldnβt help but feel her spark!
We wanted to do something special to honour Taylorβs memory, here at Community
Living L&A, something that her many friends could visit, have the space & time,
surrounded by our lovely gardens, & The Driftwood, to remember Taylor, and continue to spread her happiness & joy, with the community.
This fully wheelchair accessible memorial bench was handcrafted by Dale Laraby (long time volunteer here with Community Living L&A) & her friends here at program. Bothour supported individuals, as well as our staff. Thank you for crafting this stunning piece, that I may have envisioned, but you made a reality!
Erin, Hannah & Sophie, we hope that this small contribution to Taylorβs memory, will
bring you comfort & peace; knowing that Taylor will forever remain part of our CLLA
family, & we will do our very best to keep Taylorβs light shining bright!
