A quick myth I see online:

❌ “Store-bought insoles are the same as custom orthotics.”

Reality:
- Over-the-counter insoles cushion.
- Custom orthotics are designed to change how your foot functions and moves.

They can help with:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Knee pain
- Shin splints
- Flat feet / high arches
- Arthritis pain
- Morton’s neuroma

In the example of the casts here, I will actually have to wedge the inside of the forefoot to prevent it from rolling inward and causing excessive pronation.

This week marks one year since the grand opening of Foundation Orthotics! It’s been an incredible journey.

A huge thank you to all of our referring healthcare professionals. The support we have had from local physios, chiros, osteos, athletic therapists, RMT’s, footcare nurses, nurse practitioners, and family doctors is more than we could have ever hoped for. Your trust and involvment have made this milestone possible. 💙

Over the past year, we have welcomed so many wonderful people through our doors. It is a privilege to serve the Greater Napanee area. We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue providing custom orthotics, bracing, compression, and footwear solutions right here in Napanee.
