I would like to share a story from today’s goat snuggle adventures because it truly made my day.

Three young men arrived, excited about the opportunity to ride a horse and snuggle goats.

They were driving from Ottawa back to Oshawa for work, and were looking for “cheap gas” (aka on the Tyendinaga reserve). During the drive, they passed our horses on the highway and decided to make a detour to see them.

They really wanted to go for a horse ride - lucky for them, we have horses big enough for them.

They were so excited to see the goats, because they didn’t know we had those too! They said it was a “two for one deal” with the goats and horses.

What started off as a wrong turn, turned into an experience and bucket list item checked off for them! And we got to experience it! 🥰

Thankful to be able to share our animals with you all.

Thank you to the vast outpouring of interest - farm club for kids on May 16 is now FULL.

If we have an outstanding message/text, your child’s spot is reserved. Please finalize the registration by submitting their name and age to me via PM or text (613-921-9020).

I will have a couple spots on a cancellation list, should anyone want them, otherwise our next farm club date is May 30, where we will be exploring planting and growing our own food.

✨ FARM CLUB FOR KIDS ✨

Back by popular demand, we will be hosting Farm Club for kids again this year!

Your children will enjoy learning about farming, obtain hands on experience with farm animals, enjoy outdoor play, meet new friends, and gain so much knowledge.

Facilitated by an Ontario Certified Teacher with a Specialist in Special Education.

Our first session is “All About Sheep”. Your child will enjoy outdoor games, learn about sheep, meet and audit a sheep shearer, make a sheep related craft, and take part in investigative play.

Suitable for children 5+.

Parents are welcome to drop and go, or stay with their child.

All proceeds from our goat snuggles go directly back to the animals, to ensure they live their best lives.

Recently we were able to purchase a special round bale feeder for our small animals, to help eliminate waste, and improve cleanliness of the pen!

The goats and sheep graciously thank all visitors for their support!

We are open every weekend from 10am-3pm!

Last year I started up goat snuggling as a way to offer an opportunity to the community, while subsequently raising money for the animals we rescue and house.

We have had an amazing opening month, but this took the cake today.

I am so grateful to our community for supporting us, and enjoying some authentic family fun on the farm.

Thank you to everyone who visits us, shares our posts, and of course, recommends us to their friends and family!

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this PA Day, that’s outdoors, inexpensive, AND therapeutic, you’re in luck 🍀

We are OPEN Friday from 12-4pm, as well as regular weekend hours from 10-3pm.

We will be OPEN from 12-4pm for drop in goat snuggles and pony rides!

$10 per person
Children under 2 are free
Pony rides are $10 each; adult sized horse available
