As brick and mortar business has shifted to remote work situation at this strange time, professionals need to change the way they do their business not WHY they do their business.
🌱Moving yourself onto an online platform reconnects you with your current clients, your social network and potential new clients that maybe you wouln't be connecting with otherwise.
🌱Navigating through this somewhat uncomfortable transition to putting your self out there on your social meeds platforms brings you back to centre with your core values about WHY you're doing this in the first place. Taking care of people and their needs.
🌱Putting yourself out there for everyone to see isn't easy, but backed by an unwavering belief in your offer to help others, people will respond positively to your suggestion of fixing their problem, rather than running away cause your'e just trying to make a sale.
It is reported that about 15% of Canadians and about 35% of Americans have some sort of a side gig.
🌱A side gig is used to supplement one's income as well as create an outlet for connecting with a community of like minded people working towards the same goals.
🌱One side gig in particular that has come to light in these uncertain times is E-commerce. The people that are sitting on a home based internet sales company that is offering to contribute to boosting health with an reward of wealth, are seeing tremendous growth in sales as well as people inquiring and jumping on board to duplicate that business model.
🌱WHY? Because people have been and still are shopping online, having products come to their door is much safer than heading out to mingle with a Virus that may or may not be lingering on the next surface you graze. Slightly frightening.
🌱WHY are people joining? Most people got laid off overnight, or had to close shop. Although the gov't is doing an amazing job of offering everyone some sort of monetary support, the assistance is a small % of their earnings. People still have to pay for their bills!
🌱People are at home reevaluating what’s important to them. When all things are put aside, Security, Time, and Freedom float to the top of the list. 🖤

Canadian wild ginger season - we make tea with the fresh roots. The aroma and flavour is so earthy and refreshing. We like to also substitute our traditional ginger in cooking with this one. We’re planning on drying it this time around and adding it to our spice cupboard. Do you have any experience with this that you’d like to share?

The root contains antibiotic substances and can be used as a topical treatment for wounds and inflammation. It is also used for upset stomach, colic, and cramps.

Spending every minute with our family! Wow this doesn’t happen that often anymore... When Yves worked away we had lots of time off together, since he’s worked in the same town as our home.. hardly many consecutive days. This time feels so precious, uncertain, fun, creative and meaningful!! Definitely looking at what’s important right now and what we should be taking to the next place in our lives!!
