This Sunday at The Red Circle our theme is FERTILITY.

What is your relationship to your own fertility? How does it feel to exist in a body fertile with the possibility of creating life? Are you familiar with your body's fertility indicators? What stories have you been told about fertility? What are your beliefs, fears, and curiosities related to your reproductive potential?

Join us for tea and to share your thoughts and feels on this topic. By donation. All wombs welcome. Register to attend at www.fawnabirthwork.ca/theredcircle

Hi friends! This coming Sunday January 7th I will host our first Red Circle of the year. My intention is to start off the new year INSPIRING each other to better care for ourselves and our menstrual cycles. Together we will brainstorm day-to-day practices and rituals that can help us to better care for ourselves and our needs throughout our menstrual cycle, as well as new ways to regularly celebrate, honour, and connect to our cycles. I'm excited to learn and share with you🩸

Early on in my doula studies I was introduced to the concept of “Menstrual Cycle Awareness”. 🩸I began to learn about an entirely new way of thinking about my Cycle. I started charting it every day and patterns began to emerge that showed me I was different in aaaall the ways depending on where I was at in my cycle.

I started obsessively talking about menstrual cycles with my friends, sharing what I was learning and asking questions. Very quickly I knew I wanted to create a space for us to talk about our cycles on a regular basis - to start a “menstrual cycle club” as I called it then. Well, this idea stayed in the “ideas for later when I’m not so scared” part of my brain for FIVE YEARS until last month when I decided to just do the damn thing - and so I created The Red Circle🩸😊

The Red Circle takes place every 3 weeks in Nelson, BC. At each gathering, we introduce ourselves by sharing where we’re at in our cycle that day and describing how it feels. We explore different “guiding questions/themes” related to life with a menstrual cycle, sharing our thoughts and feelz and personal stories via a Sharing Circle. We practice deep listening, we drink tea and we eat snacks. It’s been great! And a dream come true. All experiences of the menstrual cycle are valid and all wombs are welcome.

The next circle is on Thursday November 23rd and will focus on our experience of the phases of the menstrual cycle: How do you experience the different phases of your menstrual cycle? Which part of your cycle do you feel most at home? Which feels most challenging to you? If you’d like to join us you can message me for more info ❤️

Hello! I’m Nicolina, and I’m a teeeny bit obsessed with womb things 😉🩸Fawna Birthwork is my new baby, the home for my evolving work and study in the areas of menstrual cycle wellness, fertility awareness, and the full-spectrum of birth.

It will be here that I share my thoughts and feels on all things womb and birth, as well as my offerings and services as they come to fruition.

I am based in Nelson, BC, Canada. I recently started The Red Circle here, which is a sharing circle focused on our lived experience of the menstrual cycle 🩸 I host this every 3 weeks in town and would love to connect with you there.
