February seems to last forever, but the days are finally starting to get longer. Everyone is hoping for an early spring, but it can also bring unexpected surprises. Last week you made a household emergency plan so you and your family will know what to do if the unexpected happens. Now we will prepare the essential equipment to help weather any storm.

Things to include:
โข A copy of your Emergency Plan โ because we canโt remember everything
โข Non-perishable food and water โ three days per family member, donโt forget about your pets!
โข Important Health and Insurance Documents โ So you have the resources to remain healthy and supported
โข First Aid kit and extra personal medications โ in the Kootenayโs, we are not always near immediately available health care
โข Seasonal Clothing โ because disasters can happen anytime, anywhere
โข and, donโt forget a spare phone charger โ in these times, emergency information is only a click away
