🏡In the early weeks post-partum, leaving the house with a newborn can feel like a lot.

Because of that, many people delay getting support—even when dealing with leakage, pain, or core weakness.

In-home post-natal physiotherapy removes that barrier.

Visits can start as early as 2–3 weeks post-partum and are external only (no internal assessment), focusing on early support while your body is healing. 🌺

Care includes:
– Teachings on deep abdominal activation
– breathing & pressure management
– pelvic floor recommendations
– safe feeding & sitting positions
– safe lifting and carrying mechanics
– managing daily loads and demands
– gentle return to walking 🚶‍♀️
– compression garment advice (if indicated)
– tailored return to exercise programming

Early support can make a big difference in how tissues heal and how confident you feel returning to movement.

If you’ve been thinking about getting support but don’t want the stress of leaving home, this could be a good option for you

Before becoming a physiotherapist, I spent 4 seasons working as a tree planter 🌲

I know firsthand what it means to push your body day after day — the repetition, the long hours, the aches that show up in your hands, wrists, shoulders, hips, and back… and the pressure to keep going because stopping means losing trees (and income).

During my planting years, and since becoming a physio, I’ve worked with planters both in-person and remotely while they were still in camp — helping them:

✔️ Modify planting ergonomics to reduce strain
✔️ Use taping techniques to keep working through flare-ups
✔️ Manage overuse injuries before they became season-ending
✔️ Understand what their pain was actually telling them

Planting is demanding work. You don’t need generic advice — you need someone who understands the reality of the job.

If you're a planter dealing with pain, tightness, or recurring injuries, I offer physiotherapy support grounded in real planting experience.

Your body is your livelihood — let’s keep it strong for the whole season.

💬 One question I get asked all the time:

“Do I actually need pelvic floor physiotherapy?”

Short answer? 👉 Not everyone does.

But many people who would benefit don’t realize they fall into the “yes” category.

A helpful way to screen is using the Cozean Pelvic Dysfunction Screening Protocol, which looks at whether pelvic floor involvement may be contributing to your symptoms.

You may want a pelvic floor physio assessment if you experience:

🔹 Leaking with coughing, sneezing, running, jumping
🔹 Urgency or difficulty holding urine
🔹 Constipation or straining
🔹 Pain with in*******se, tampon use, or pelvic exams
🔹 Persistent low back, hip, or SI joint pain
🔹 Tailbone pain
🔹 A feeling of heaviness or pressure in the pelvis
🔹 Prenatal or postpartum changes
🔹 Prostate surgery recovery (for men)
🔹 Difficulty fully emptying bladder or bowels

The Cozean criteria remind us that pelvic floor dysfunction doesn’t always show up as “classic” symptoms like leaking — it can look like orthopedic pain, core weakness, or unexplained tension patterns.

✨ If your symptoms aren’t resolving with traditional MSK rehab
✨ If your pain keeps coming back
✨ If something just feels “off” but hasn’t been fully explained

…it may be worth checking whether the pelvic floor is part of the picture.

Pelvic floor physio isn’t for everyone — but when it’s needed, it can be the missing link.

I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries 💪🦵
— from neck and shoulder pain to hips, knees, and ankles. I’m a true generalist and love helping people move through everyday aches, sports injuries, and long-standing pain.

I also have advanced training in pelvic health 🧠
which means I can support people with concerns like lower back or hip pain related to the pelvis, SI joint issues, bladder leaks, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, tailbone pain, constipation, or pain with in*******se.

Whether you’re dealing with a new injury, returning to activity, navigating postpartum changes, or managing symptoms that have been around for a while, I’m here to help you move confidently and get back to the things you love.

Hi! I’m Laurie.

As a physio, I’m all about education that actually makes sense, hands-on treatment that helps you move better, and exercise plans that fit into real life.

I became a physio because I love helping people understand their bodies and feel confident in their movement again. Being a trail runner, mountain biker, and snowboarder myself, I understand what an active life can do to the body.

From skiers and riders to parents and weekend warriors, supporting people as they get back to moving confidently is what drives me. I love helping our community stay strong, active, and doing the things that make them feel alive.

If you’re looking for support, you can find me at the Kokanee and Rossland clinics — I’d love to work with you.
