🎁Elves filling the Shelves🎁

This holiday season we are looking for some elves to help us fill our shelves with some much-needed items! Please consider donating any of the items on our Christmas Wish List below to help support the women and children of Tearmann Society.

Donations can be dropped off December 6th 2024 between 1-3 PM in the Starbucks parking lot where volunteers will be filling the CHAD Transit bus with your generous donations.

A special thank you to Chad Transit for lending us the bus and Starbucks New Glasgow for use of their space!

🫶 Neighbours, Friends & Family Community Session 🫶

Join us on November 25th from 6–8pm at the Merigomish School House Community Centre (1682 Shore Rd.) for a free, interactive session that helps neighbours, friends, and families recognize the warning signs of domestic violence and respond in safe, supportive ways. This program has been developed by the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women and Children.

This session is open to everyone — because we all play a role in helping keep our communities safe and caring. 💜
Light refreshments will be provided.

🌟 Volunteers Needed – Boots on the Ground! 🌟

The Pictou West Food Bank is looking for helping hands — and hearts — to join our volunteer team! ❤️

What we really need right now are boots on the ground during our opening hours to help package food hampers and serve clients directly. These are the moments where connection happens — a smile, a kind word, a helping hand that makes all the difference.

If you have a few hours to spare each week and want to make a meaningful impact right here in our community, we’d love to hear from you.

👣 Volunteer roles:
• Packing food hampers

• Organizing shelves and stock

• Lending a hand where it’s needed most

No experience needed — just compassion, reliability, and a willingness to help. Training and guidance are provided.

📅 Our opening hours: Monday - Wednesday - Friday (1 pm - 3 pm)
