Today is International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women. This day is also the first day of against Gender-Based Violence. This year's campaign focuses on digital violence as part of gender-based violence. Over these next 16 days we’ll explore how structural solutions (pay equity, child-care, housing, education) strengthen digital safety and
resilience.

We encourage everyone to wear orange today and use to raise awareness of violence against women.

As the of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence begins tomorrow (Nov 25 - Dec 10), we must recognize that sexual violence is a whole society and systemic problem that impacts all of us.

The Pathways to Safety: Enhancing Support for Survivors of Sexual Violence Symposium Overview and Impact Report 2025 is a call for collective action.

One in three women and one in ten men will experience sexual violence in their lifetime.

Effective change is impossible without deep collaboration between law enforcement, healthcare, the justice system, and non-profit organizations.

Read the report to see how we are working together to strengthen trauma-informed, survivor-centered responses in our community. Meaningful change requires "bravery, honesty, and collaboration from all members of society".

Any individual can be abused, no matter what background, identity or circumstance they are associated with. On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we pay tribute to the transgender community and commemorate the lives lost due to transphobia, discrimination, and violence. We stand in solidarity with transgender individuals and affirm their rights to live authentically, safely and with dignity.

Let us come together and amplify the voices, experiences of trans people. Together we can work towards a society that celebrates and uplifts trans people, rejects hate, and fosters a culture of understanding and acceptance.
