The Calgary Recovery Community was lucky enough to attend the Headversity Launch event in partnership with the Calgary Construction Agency and Tailgate Toolkit yesterday! It was inspiring to see mental health and addiction support taking center stage in the construction industry. Their new app offers accessible, ongoing mental health resources for individuals and a leadership certification for supervisors and managers across Calgaryโs construction community. This initiative is all about tackling stigma, building resilience, and creating safer spaces where people feel supported to reach out when they need it.

Here's a fun fact that makes Last Door awesome: Last Door opened a treatment centre in Calgary this past August. Last Door Recovery Society provides quality long-term residential in-patient Adolescent Addiction Treatment for male youths 14 to 18 years of age and Adult Addiction Treatment for males 19 and over, providing alcohol rehab, substance abuse and drug treatment.
Last Door helps people recover from drug addiction, alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, food addiction, video gaming addiction, internet addiction and ni****ne addiction in the Vancouver area and New Westminster BC using the Social Model Program of Recovery.
For 35 years Last Door has provided individual biopsychosocial perspective addiction treatment services that are needs-oriented and nationally recognized. Last Doorโs multidisciplinary team and comprehensive treatment approach works for doctors, nurses, pilots, firefighters, military personnel, trades people, small to large corporate employees, high school students, grad students, youth 14 to 18 years of age and males 19 and over from across Canada and the USA.
The residential aspects of our Youth Addiction Treatment Program and Adult Addiction Treatment Program are gender specific to males while the Family Program and Transitional Living aspects are designed to facilitate both genders and all ages.
