The Hub is a low-barrier drop-in space for youth aged 12 to 24. Over the past year, Purpose has supported more than 350 young people, many dealing with housing instability, mental health challenges, substance use, or vulnerability to exploitation or gang involvement.

Their current federal funding ends on March 31 and Purpose has been in ongoing conversations with municipal, provincial, and federal partners over the past months, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

Without additional support, the Hub is at risk of closing next week. This would leave a real gap for youth in New Westminster, especially those not connected to other services.

To help bridge this, they've launched a GoFundMe.

If you are able to help, they would really appreciate it and if you could share the link with your friends.

Even a bit more time makes a difference. It allows them to stay connected with youth and keep support in place while they work toward something more stable.

KEEP THE DOORS OPEN

The New Westminster Youth Hub is at risk of closing on March 31 due to the end of federal funding.

We support over 350 vulnerable youth annually with mental health support, substance use services, life skills, and connection. For many, this is a safe place to go, a consistent support system, and a critical point of early intervention.
Without immediate support, these services will no longer be available to the young people who need them most.

Help us keep the doors open.
