This year, Venvi Alexander Muir Retirement Home is proud to officially launch the Random Rolls of Kindness Initiative. Originally started by our Executive Director, Isaac, this initiative continues to grow within our community and beyond.

Let’s spread locally and across Canada by turning free coffee and food prizes into simple acts of kindness.
If you have unused prizes from the Tim Hortons Roll Up The Rim contest, here’s how you can get involved:

Use Your Prize to Pay It Forward
Redeem your free coffee or food item at your local Tim Hortons and use it to pay for the person behind you in the drive-through, treat someone in line, or hand it out to someone who could use a little pick-me-up. You can also redeem your prizes and bring refreshments to a nursing home, retirement home, group home, hospital, shelter, school, or another organization of your choosing for residents, clients, staff, and families to enjoy. The possibilities are endless.

Drop Off Your Prizes to Us
You can drop off your unused Roll Up The Rim prizes at Venvi Alexander Muir Retirement Home (197 Prospect St.) at our reception desk. We will gladly distribute the treats to our residents.

Email Mobile App Prizes
If you use the Tim Hortons mobile app, you can email your digital prizes directly to our Executive Director at Isaac.Weinroth@cogirseniorliving.ca.

Prizes can be redeemed now through the final redemption day on April 7, 2026.

Whether you have one prize or many, together we can create a wave of kindness that brightens someone’s day. Encourage your family and friends to participate, share this post online, and spread the word. Don’t forget to document your act of kindness using .

Our residents, families, and community members came together for a night filled with delicious food, beautiful artwork, and wonderful company all in support of CHATS’s Community & Home Assistance to Seniors. We’re so proud to share that it was a huge success!

Today Venvi Alexander Muir Retirement Home was in attendance to celebrate the 23rd anniversary service of Christ the King Graceland Church.

Archbishop Dorian Baxter has generously dedicated his time every Monday to lead a church service in our home, a meaningful tradition that many of our residents look forward to each week. It was a privilege to attend today’s celebration and show our appreciation for his continued kindness and spiritual support.

We were delighted to welcome students from Pickering College’s Grade 11 English class to Venvi Alexander Muir Retirement Home!

As part of their class project, the students spent time with our residents asking thoughtful questions about their life experiences, memories, and personal stories. It was a meaningful intergenerational exchange filled with engaging conversations, laughter, and shared wisdom.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all our wonderful residents, families, and friends! ❤️

Today, our home celebrated love by taking a beautiful trip down memory lane. We proudly displayed residents’ wedding photos on our front table, sharing cherished memories, heartfelt stories, and plenty of smiles. It was so special to reflect on the love stories that have shaped so many incredible lives.

We also enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s party filled with yummy treats and great company, made even more magical by the wonderful musical talents of Cara Chisholm. Her music had everyone tapping their feet and singing along!
