Olivia's commitment to Wellness will never be forgotten. One can only assume that her journey into understanding the benefits of Wellness was motivated by her battle with Cancer. It was from that that she understood that wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes so that instead of just surviving, you're thriving. She will always be an inspiration to strive for a better healthier way.

By the time the average person reaches the end of this sentence, the population of the world will have permanently grown by 20. Incredible Right? Over the next 40 years, there will be 230 billion square meters of new construction worldwide. As a result, the energy demand in buildings is expected to increase by 50% by 2050. READ THAT AGAIN - do you know what percentage of that is healthcare related?

Given the necessity and indeed the opportunity in sustainable construction, Net Zero buildings can be an indispensable part of India's future real estate market.

This article really struck me... Pioneering is never easy...I remember back in 2010 when I started talking about "sick building syndrome" and designing and constructing better buildings... 2012 Chaired Toronto Green Building... and talked about better building materials and processes.. optimizing HVAC and even antibacterial touch point surfaces... People looked at me like I was from Mars. Fast forward and we are close to the colonization of planets and ESG is all the rave... Change is never easy but the future looks green.

DCL Healthcare Properties

DCL Healthcare Properties Inc is a blend of commercial real estate development firm, ProTech, and wellness advocate focused on re-engineering the healthcare experience from an environmental standpoint. Utilizing world-class engineering and technology partners and seamlessly integrating them into green sustainable medical healthcare space. DCL’s vision and inspiration has its genesis in the founder, Frank Deluca’s own experiences and observation of how this critical and vital sector has been primarily overlooked. DCL is presenting healthcare providers with an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of their space and future.

Future Facilities and Delivery

The next generation of facilities will need to respond to the patient as “the consumer” who will choose the site of their care. A focus on wellness, community embeddedness sustainability will be sought after. Ideals like carbon footprint reduction, environmental awareness, sustainable facilities, and wellness environment are infused into DCL developments. DCL is positioning its facilities to be the gap between the walk-in-clinic and the emergency room. Each year an average of 150 million emergency room visits happen in North America; less than 2% are actually admitted. Diverting avoidable emergency department visits could save healthcare over $30 billion annually.
