🛑 Hips dropping in Chaturanga? Try the ‘Knee Roll’ method! 🛑

This simple modification is the key to mastering your low plank and protecting your low back and shoulders.

When you feel your hips dropping before your chest, it means your core isn’t fully engaged, putting strain on your joints.

How to do it (watch the Reel!):
1. Start in Plank, hands under shoulders.
2. Lift your feet and roll over onto the tops of your knees (not the kneecaps).
3. CRITICAL STEP: Suck your belly in and avoid letting the hips sag—keep that plank line from head to knees!
4. It’s an elbow bend ONLY as you lower in one solid piece.

This builds the strength you need for the full pose!

Thank you so much for this feedback Sara - a grest reminder that none of us are perfect here - just love that you are seeing all the gains! 💗

I’ve been a member for a month now and being more intentional about moving my body in different ways. I will tell you I strength train regularly but doing yoga with you this month more regularly has felt really good. This was something I was missing mobility wise. My movements are far from perfect. I’m so grateful for the detail you put into your videos. I’m the most basic beginner so the direction is really helpful. Thank you for the encouragement in our one on one video session recently. It really made doing online sessions feel more personal. Today I did the 30min Yoga - Strength & Stretch #5. Holding certain poses really makes you mentally focus because being still really takes strength! I’m looking forward to the next session!
