Galloway Athletic Therapy is owned and operated by Certified Athletic Therapist Emma Galloway. Emma graduate for Sheridan College with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Athletic Therapy) in 2010 and became certified through the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association in 2011. Emma has been the Certified Athletic Therapist for the Nipawin Hawks for the past three seasons. The Canadian Athletic Therapy Association promotes Athletic Therapy is for Everyone and it is. Hello
It has been awhile since I have posted on my page. Just like any small town there is rumours. I am still open for business and always accepting new patients.
I thought I would start to share some information about myself and athletic therapy.
You don’t need to be an athlete to see me. I can treat a wide variety of injuries and conditions.

June is National Athletic Therapy Month. This weekend I learned some new skills with Rock Tape! Rock pods and Rock Floss are some new tools to add. As an athletic therapist we are always learning to help you as the patient get back to your activities!

Some commonly asked questions about orthotics

Will my insurance cover orthotics?

Most insurance companies will cover orthotics. Your insurance maybe only want certain professions to dispense orthotics for an example a pedorthist. A 3D scan is done to make the cast of your foot which most insurance companies require a 3D cast

What is the cost?

The total cost is $400
An initial assessment is done and cast. The fee for the initial assessment is 60 dollars with the remaining cost due at time of pick up.
An estimate can be sent to your insurance company for approval prior to going ahead with the order but an assessment needs to be done to submit the estimate.

How long will it take for my orthotics to come?

With a 3D scan your cast is sent immediately and once the cast has been submitted and processed it takes about 10 days to make the orthotics and have them sent out.

June is National Athletic Therapy Month. As an Athletic Therapist we wear many different hats. For my in the winter I work hockey which means longs days of traveling on buses, doing laundry, sharpening skates, helping heal injuries, closing cuts and wounds and much more. When I am not in the arena I am at my clinic. At my clinic I don’t just treat athletes I treat all kinds. When I chose to pursue this profession I never thought I would be where I am today. I fortunate that I love my career. There is no greater satisfaction than watching a patient walk out of your clinic pain free or seeing an athlete return to play after injury. As Athletic Therapist I get to see that daily!

Hello Everyone
If you have followed the news this morning you will have seen the plan to re open Saskatchewan. As I follow under physical therapy I can re open May 4th. If you had an appointment booked previous to the closure I will be contacting you to see if you would like to schedule. If you would like to schedule and didn't have an appointment prior send me a text or phone and I will get you booked in. All precautions taken previously will still be in place and ask if you are feeling unwell you cancel your appointment at no charge. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon! Emma
