This week, we received a message that perfectly shows what your support makes possible.
Ashlyn, one of the dedicated ICU nurses at Battlefords Union Hospital, shared a photo of seven BUH staff who recently attended the Health Links Education Rapid Response: Care of the Deteriorating Patient workshop in Saskatoon.
This life-saving training happened because of donor funding through the Battlefords Healthcare Foundation.

This specialized training helps our team recognize signs of serious decline in patients, sometimes up to six hours before a crisis happens. It means:
✔ Faster intervention during Rapid Responses and Code Blues
✔ Stronger, more confident care on the front lines
✔ Lives saved right here in our community
Ashlyn shared:
“As an ICU nurse at BUH, I respond to Rapid Responses and Code Blues. Expanding on why a patient is deteriorating and learning the anticipated nursing interventions will serve as helpful knowledge when responding. Knowing the signs and symptoms of deterioration means timely intervention and better patient outcomes.”
