In an online landscape where it's getting harder to tell what’s real and what’s AI-generated, it can feel tricky to find accurate s*xual health information. Check your chat - are you asking the right questions when you read information online?

When in doubt, check in with a trusted s*xual health resource, like one of our public health nurses, your own healthcare provider, Action Canada’s Sexual Health Hub, ACNBA, or even your local library!

This past September Franco-Ontarians celebrated 50 years of unity, culture and identitfy with anniversary of the Franco-Ontarian flag. The Franco-Ontarian flag was first created in 1975 by Gaétan Gervais, a history professor at the University of Sudbury, and Michel Dupuis, a political science student and the father to our very own Natalie Dupuis – Blanchfield, Health Promotion Planner!

The flags creation emerged from the urgent need of the Franco-Ontarian community to assert itself in its identity, stand out and affirm its place. As part of French-Canadian Culture, since 1963, North Bay’s les Compagnons des Francs Loisirs has hosted Le Carnaval des Compagnons, the second oldest and largest Franco-Ontarian winter festival in Canada.

This past Saturday, Le Carnaval des Compagnons reveled this year’s Bonhomme Carnaval to be none other than Natalie.

The reveal honours her dedication and contribution to the Franco-Ontario community and her ability to keep a secret!
