Paul is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt having trained since 2017 under Andrew Smith of Pure Jiu Jitsu in Durban, South Africa. Paul is also a 200-hour yoga instructor having completed his yoga teacher training at the world-class One Yoga in Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa and a Nutrition Coaching Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Well last night was rather epic! Having had a bit of time to reflect on the experience I simply come back to an immense feeling of gratitude. Gratitude for all the people that give of themselves to our local jiu jitsu community in whatever way that may be. Whether it be hosting events, being crazy enough to start an academy or just showing up to open mats, cross training at other gyms and sharing your knowledge with others... hopefully filling your own cup in the process.
