The hard truth is: you're the only one destroying your potential progress. 😬

Self-sabotage is the single most common reason people struggle to achieve their goals. They create excuses, they project blame, and they sit and wonder why their goals are never met.

Getting out of your own way is key to finally achieving progress.

Do some internal work and become aware of your patterns.

Then start to practice affirmations, 'I am and I can' statements. Once you start to train your brain to support your goals you're going to be way more likely to hold yourself accountable.

Creating a routine that checks the boxes is the only way I've been able to stay on track day in and day out. Make sure your routine includes the time you need to get everything done..don't have time? Make time. Check your screentime and cut the Netflix... You are the only person who can do the work needed to get to the best place you've ever been 🫶

You are worthy and you can do it. 🙌🤝

My morning routine sets the tone for my day & is my favourite way to provide self-care first thing in the morning 🫶✨

The '9-5 before your 9-5' can make a huge difference on all 3 aspects of your well-being - mind body & soul 🌸

✨6AM • 1L water with sea salt while I write in my gratitude journal
✨6:15AM • Walk the puppies - steps & fresh air to awaken my senses
✨6:45AM • Shower & get ready - looking & feeling fresh first thing boosts my confidence and overall mental energy
✨7:15AM • Protein & micronutrient dense breakfast to nourish my body for the morning
✨7:45AM • Tidy the apartment & get meals ready for the rest of the day
✨8:15AM • Movement - usually gym for resistance training or walk to work if I have a morning shift 💪

Once you've basically checked all the boxes in the morning, you have no excuses or opportunities to skip the healthy habits you want to perform to set yourself up for feel-good longevity 🤝

✨MEDITATION -10-20 minutes MINIMUM of meditation to enhance my stress response and create inner peace

☀️NATURE - if you've been in the woods with me, you've seen me in my element. Nature walk everyday.

💖GRATITUDE - gratitude has changed my life in the most beautiful way I will write down 5-10 things I'm grateful for every single moming.

🍍NATURAL NOURISHMENT - nutrition through whole, natural foods & proper hydration with a solid electrolyte balance. Optimal cell function enhances literally everything.

I can't wait to watch my life continue to transform over the next year and to see where my journey takes me ✨🫶💖

Sunday Morning Gratitude 🫶

✨ I'm grateful for the beautiful weather we've had this December
✨ I'm grateful for my happy & healthy pets
✨ I'm grateful for the loving energies that I get to have in my life
✨ I'm grateful for the ability to slow down and rest
✨ I'm grateful for starting a new job that I love
✨ I'm grateful for being able to manage my grief & feel the Christmas spirit this year 🎄

I miss my daddy extra at this time of year but practicing gratitude helps keeps a positive perception and happy headspace. I'm grateful for gratitude and my ability to see the lights through the darkness.

December sun makes my soul sing 🫶☀️✨

Living in the Pacific Northwest, our higher altitude and overcast conditions throughout the winter inhibit our ability to synthesize vitamin D because of the low UVB radiation.

Low vitamin D can have a negative effect on bone health, immune function, and mental health. It can even raise our risk of cancer.

Which means it's insanely important to take initiative and try to maintain healthy vit d levels.

Some tips to support your health throughout the darker months:

☀️OUTDOOR TIME: Spending too much time outside when it's dark and dreary has a negative effect on our overall health - especially mental. Try to expose yourself to the outdoors during the brightest time of the day, and make sure to spend extra time if the sun decides to make an appearance.
☀️DIETARY: Foods rich in vitamin D include fatty fish, egg yolks, and mushrooms. Make sure your diet is rich in these foods to help enhance absorption and boost your health & mood.
☀️SUPPLEMENTS: Taking a reputable and 3rd party tested vitamin D supplement can be the easiest way to get what you need. Aim for 1,000 to 2,000 IU daily - but always consult a health care professional before starting a supplement plan.
☀️LIGHT THERAPY: Light therapy lamps are a fabulous way to combat low mood & they can potentially support vitamin D synthesis. They are designed to mimic sunlight and can be easily found on Amazon 🫶
