When researching ancestors don’t forget to source the information with multiple proofs. Spelling of names for an example is often recorded incorrectly.

MACIAN Link recently conducted genealogy research at Historic Fort Langley Cemetery - Fort Langley is believed to be the “Birthplace of British Columbia” and the cemetery has interments dating back to the 1800’s like JAMES James who died in 1894 at age 78, suggesting a birth year as early as 1815. According to the 1881 Census of Canada it is suggested that his birthplace was England and that he was a farmer in the district of New Westminster.
