🌞 Li Xia (立倏) is the 7th solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar, which marks the beginning of summer and the end of spring. It's a season of growth, warmth, and abundance but also a season of potential heat-related disorders, such as heatstroke, irritability, insomnia, and digestive problems. Therefore, adapting our lifestyle and diet to the changing environment is important.

Here are some tips to stay healthy and balanced during Li Xia:

🌿 Eat light and cooling foods like vegetables, fruits, herbs, and grains, and avoid greasy, spicy, and heavy foods.

🍡 Drink plenty of water, tea, and soups to stay hydrated and nourished.

πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ Engage in moderate exercises, such as swimming, hiking, and yoga, to strengthen the body and relieve stress.

😴 Get enough rest and sleep, and avoid staying up late or overworking.

🌞 Enjoy the sunshine and nature, but avoid prolonged exposure to the hot sun and high temperature.

πŸ™ Practice mindfulness, meditation, or other stress-reducing techniques to calm the mind and cultivate inner peace.

By following these simple guidelines, we can make the most of Li Xia and enjoy a healthy and joyful summer. Happy Li Xia to all! πŸŒžπŸŒΏπŸ‰πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜΄πŸ™ #立倏

Have you heard of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)? 🧐 It's a systemic medicine that has been used for thousands of years in China, and it's also gaining popularity in the Western world. πŸ’«

TCM is based on the concept of Qi (pronounced "chee"), the life force that flows through the body. The goal of TCM is to balance the flow of qi and promote health and healing. πŸ™Œ

Unlike Western medicine, which often focuses on treating specific symptoms or diseases, TCM takes a holistic approach to health, considering the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. 🌿

In Chinese medicine, a miscarriage is often seen as a result of a disturbance in the flow of Qi (energy) and blood. While there can be a variety of causes for a miscarriage, some early signs that may be indicative of an impending miscarriage according to Chinese medicine are:

1. Severe Lower Back Pain: Severe back pain to a point that you can't straighten your back or can't support your body anymore is a sign of Kidney deficiency. The kidneys are believed to govern reproduction and fertility. A person's Kidney Qi (energy) needs to be strong in order to conceive and carry a healthy pregnancy. Miscarriage may occur when the kidneys can no longer support the pregnancy.

2. Vaginal bleeding: Any amount of vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is considered a warning sign in Chinese medicine. Bleeding can be a sign of a threatened miscarriage or a more serious condition, such as a placental abruption.

3. Abdominal pain and cramping: Abdominal pain and cramping can be a sign of an impending miscarriage. The pain may be mild or severe, and it may come and go or be constant.

It's important to note that these signs are not definitive indicators of a miscarriage, and may also be present in healthy pregnancies. If you experience any of these symptoms during your pregnancy, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider as soon as possible for proper evaluation and management.

Acupuncture can be a relaxing treatment due to its ability to regulate the flow of Qi in the body when specific points are stimulated, which leads to the activation of the parasympathetic nerves. By inserting acupuncture needles at strategic points on the body, acupuncturists aim to restore balance and improve overall well-being. Acupuncture therapy has been shown to release endorphins, which are mood-boosting and pain-suppressing opioid neuropeptides, leading to pain relief and muscle relaxation in the area related to the pain. Overall, acupuncture can be an effective and soothing treatment for stress.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles into specific points on the body. The sensation experienced during acupuncture can vary depending on the individual and the location of the needle insertion.

Some people report feeling a slight tingling sensation or a dull ache when the needle is inserted, while others may feel no discomfort at all. It is normal to feel a sensation of pressure or warmth around the needle insertion site.

Acupuncture is generally considered to be a safe and relatively painless procedure. However, if you are sensitive to needles or have a low pain tolerance, you may experience some discomfort during the treatment. It is important to communicate with your acupuncturist during the session if you experience any discomfort, so they can adjust the treatment as needed.
