We are excited to introduce 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐬, who will be joining us as an 𝐀𝐂𝐆𝐌𝐄 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝-𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩-𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 starting 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟖𝐭𝐡.
Dr. Vertes completed his 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 & 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐘 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐥𝐲𝐧, 𝐍𝐘, followed by his 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐃𝐂. He specializes in interventional pain management and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions.
Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Vertes grew up in a family of physicians and was always focused on becoming a doctor. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and has a lifelong passion for sports. Having played competitive hockey growing up, he knows firsthand the challenges of living with injuries and ongoing pain ; an experience that allows him to connect with his patients on a personal level. He is committed to patient-centered care, working closely with each individual to manage their pain and help them return to the activities they love.
