Happy New Year! As 2021 draws to a close, I have some things to say…

First of all, THANK YOU.

Thank you to my patients for trusting me with their health, for booking appointments, referring their friends and family, following me on social media, and for being amazing people that I have had the pleasure of getting to know.

Thank you to my friends and family for their constant support, understanding and encouragement.

Thank you to and for having me in your clinics, teaching me, putting up with my never ending questions, supporting me and helping me grow as a practitioner.

Lastly, *quotes Snoop Dog* I’d like to thank me. This year has been a lot. A lot of work, long hours, learning and growing. I’ve had to learn how to be confident, forgive myself, not sweat the small stuff, grow a business and so much more. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and can’t wait for 2022.

Despite the circumstances of 2021, it was my first year as a full-time RMT. I had an absolutely incredible year that FAR surpassed my expectations. My home practice (Recalibrate Massage Therapy) is thriving and I am so proud of that. I got to work with amazing clients, a CFL team, have a position with the and have been able to be a part of so many people’s rehab and self-care journeys.

RUNNER’S WARM-UP IDEAS

With the weather warming-up this week, make sure you do too! Whether you’re running on a treadmill indoors or outside, make sure to incorporate at least a 5min warm-up. It is important to get your heart rate up, get your joints and nervous system ready for your run prior to going on it.

The exercises in this Reel target runner-specific movement patterns. Warming up the ankles, knees, hips and doing sport-specific movement such as toe taps and A’s will help prime your joints for your run.

Overall, make sure that your running warm-up includes dynamic stretching, light plyometrics, and running-like movements.
