What do emotions tell us about our lives?

Claire Nicogossian eloquently points out, emotions "are simply pieces of data, and they are neither good nor bad".

Emotions provide us with important information. When we don't pay attention to our emotional experiences, our emotions can get louder and more intense, until we are forced to deal with them one way or the other.

In this brief article, Dr. Daniel Amen concisely outlines key areas of the brain that gets impacted by trauma using brain imaging results.
