What Exactly is Breast Fat Transfer?

“The procedure of breast fat transfer is really a combination of liposuction and then the injection of the fat into the breast.

It looks very natural because it is. It’s just fat taken from one spot and moved to the other. It’s one of my favorite surgeries to do. At the end of it, you have fuller breasts, but you also have an improved contour where the liposuction was done.

It’s really a win-win procedure for people. It’s a very natural looking result. You get improved contours in multiple places. There’s no implant, there’s no edge of the implant that people worry about seeing. There’s no care about implants in the future. The fat that you have is you’re fat for life once all the swelling goes away.”

Natural-Looking Enhancements:

There’s a growing preference for subtle, natural results vs dramatic, obvious looking results.

Patients are opting for procedures that enhance their features without overt signs of surgery - which could include everything from breast surgery to facial surgery.

What are Natural Looking Results?

The key to creating natural- looking results with facial surgery is to look refreshed, and never overdone. We want you to look like a younger version of yourself, not like you have been through a wind tunnel.

The goal? To have people wondering why you look so good… not guessing what you’ve had done.

✨ You’re never alone in this process - we are with you every step of the way.

What are the Benefits of Fat Grafting to the Breasts (BFT)?

With fat grafting to the breast, a reasonable breast volume to start with is helpful because we can only double the size of the breast and then you lose about 40% of that. I think having realistic goals about what fat transfer can do is really important. Going up a cup size wouldn’t be uncommon, going up 50, 60 percent would be the expectation. But for people who want to be a whole lot fuller, it’s probably not the right surgery for them.

Benefits of Fat Grafting:

➡️ Dual benefit: Slims stubborn fat areas with liposuction while enhancing breast volume.
➡️ No implants, no visible scars—just a soft, natural feel.
➡️ Ideal for subtle, natural-looking augmentation.
➡️ Perfect for women with limited breast tissue to smooth or conceal implants.
➡️ Can be used with implants to create a more natural shape.

📸Before & After Photo: This female patient was treated with Breast Fat Transfer, to add volume to her cup size and a balanced shape. Her results are beautiful and natural looking and just want she was hoping for!

Body Contouring - Driven by Weight Loss & Lifestyle:

Rapid weight loss has increased demand for body lifts, thigh lifts, arm lifts, and other skin-removal surgeries to address excess skin after large weight changes.

Weight loss medications and lifestyle changes have helped many people feel healthier and leaner - often faster than ever before. But skin doesn’t always adjust at the same pace.

After significant or rapid weight loss, the concern is often loose skin, not excess fat. This is why traditional liposuction alone isn’t always the right solution.

Some of the most requested procedures to help restore proportion after weight loss include:
➡️Arm lifts➡️Thigh lifts➡️Body lifts
➡️Breast lifts➡️Neck and face lifts
➡️Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty

Other Common Body Contouring Procedures include:

🔸Liposuction
🔸Gynaecomastia
🔸Mini tummy tuck
🔸Belly button reconstruction
🔸Circumferential body lift
🔸Breast reduction or augmentation.
🔸Face lift
🔸Excess skin removal

The goal of plastic surgery is to have people wondering why you look so good, not guessing what you’ve had done.

✨ You’re never alone in this process - we are with you every step of the way.

⭐️Plastic Surgery Trends for 2026: Beautifully Refreshed, Not Overdone.⭐️

Plastic surgery is not about looking like you’ve had work done - it’s about looking refreshed and naturally beautiful.
The goal? To have people wondering why you look so good - not guessing what you’ve had done.

Plastic Surgery Trends for 2026:

1️⃣ Natural-Looking Enhancements: There’s a growing preference for subtle, natural results - versus dramatic, obvious looking results. Patients are opting for procedures that enhance their features without overt signs of surgery - which could include everything from breast surgery to facial surgery.

2️⃣ Smaller Breast Enhancements: There’s a shift towards smaller, more natural-looking breast augmentations. Procedures like breast reductions, lifts, and fat grafting are continuing to be more popular as patients seek proportions that align with a natural aesthetic. Think “yoga boobs.”

3️⃣ Fat Grafting - Face or Breasts: This technique requires meticulous precision - each fat droplet is carefully placed to ensure optimal survival and shape, offering more natural-looking results.

4️⃣ Body Contouring - Driven by Weight Loss and Lifestyle: Rapid weight loss has increased demand for body lifts, thigh lifts, arm lifts, and other skin-removal surgeries to address excess skin after large weight changes.

5️⃣ Subtle Facial Aesthetics: There’s a trend towards achieving an “ageless beauty” look through subtle cosmetic enhancements. We want you to look like a younger version of yourself, not like you have been through a wind tunnel.

✨BFT or Fat Grafting is a meticulous procedure that uses your own fat for natural, soft, and beautifully sculpted results:

🌸Fat is removed from areas you don’t want it and added to areas you do - like the breasts!
🌸Virtually no scars and completely natural.
🌸Perfect for subtle enhancements, restoring volume, and achieving a balanced shape.

📸Before & After Photo: This female patient was treated with Breast Fat Transfer, to add volume and a balanced shape. She was really happy with her natural-looking, beautiful results!

Who’s the ideal candidate for Breast Fat Transfer?

“I think the ideal candidate for breast fat transfer would be somebody that meets, a few criteria. You have to have some fat to donate. If there’s no fat to harvest from somewhere else in liposuction, there’s no fat to put in.

I think having a reasonable breast volume to start with is helpful because we can only double the size of the breast and then you lose about 40 % of that. I think having realistic goals about what fat transfer can do is really important. Going up a cup size wouldn’t be uncommon, going up 50, 60 percent would be the expectation. But for people who want to be a whole lot fuller, it’s probably not the right surgery for them.”

What is your favourite surgery?

“I love the Mommy Makeover. I love doing tummy tucks. I like the ability to sculpt the abdomen, to shape it, to make somebody look fitter and healthier, and then breast surgery at the same time. And that can take on a few different options between reduction or lift, or fat grafting, or implant. But I think it’s really fun. In the course of a few hours, I think we can make profound changes to how people look, and hopefully later how they feel.”

What to expect in the initial consultation.

“When I do a consultation with patients, I try to get to know them. It is an important time to build a relationship with them for both of us. I think it’s important that they know who I am and I know who they are and I know what the goals are. And a little bit of banter and chat and humour I think goes a long way in building relationships with people.

In addition to what they want done or what the specific specific concern is, I want to know what a good outcome looks like to them. I want to know how long they’ve been thinking about this. I want to know how much emotional charge there is around this. I want to know what they’ve done to research this before and answer their questions and see if we can come up with a plan that’s going to make them happy.”

Why Choosing the Right Plastic Surgeon is an Important Decision.

If you are thinking about undergoing a plastic surgery procedure, choosing the right board certified plastic surgeon is the most important choice you will make in the whole process. You are putting your health, your beauty, and your life in their hands. Make sure that you choose the right hands.

✔️ Ask for referrals—from friends, your GP, or trusted doctors.
✔️ Look into training, credentials, and reviews from previous patients.
✔️ Book consults with your top choices - see if you click, if they listen, and if they’re honest about what’s possible.
✔️Do you have an easy rapport with them? Are they honest about what can realistically be achieved? Are they pushing you into signing up or giving you time to think about things?
✔️ Trust your instincts. The right surgeon gives you time to think and puts your well-being first.

🔹If you can answer these questions then take a leap, but always listen to your gut.🔹
