There was a sad theme that followed me around this week, the unfortunate reality that so many women feel they are alone.
Women are such magical creatures (not taking anything away from the men out there, I am surrounded by many magical men also) but as a collective, women grow stronger and more powerful when we connect and collaborate. When we stand as one tribe, accepting each member as equal, the energy that is created in the Universe is un-paralleled. And yet, so many of us choose to live in isolation because we don’t feel that we can walk through life as our authentic selves.
History tells us that at one time the women of the world had no choice but to band together. For survival they would unite in all tasks, cooking, cleaning, taking care of the land, raising each other’s children, fighting and even bleeding together in red tent ceremony. The sisterhood was inclusive, if you were a woman – you belonged. Those days have long passed but the need for this sisterhood lives on. It is written in our history, in our memory of lifetimes past, deep inside our cells – we still need each other to survive and it is time to break down the barriers that we have built. We need to stop competing with each other and recognize that it is our connection that completes us.
I see you out there wild women, dreamers, gypsies goddesses, yogis, healers, mothers, shamans. My sisters.
I will forever hold a space for you, and you will always be welcome within my circle.
Blessings,
Dianne
