Between Here and There.
We are tethered between two opposing worlds. The unconscious world of magic and myth and the conscious world of rational and reason.
In this third dimension, we are in a very low energy. It’s solid and contained. Strapped to the physical, where worth and status mean something. Where time and space are measured. We are suppressed here. Limited by our own fears, feelings, hopes and thoughts. A reflection of the internal battles we endure. Negatives and Positives of resistance.
The spiritual world has no time and no limitations on space. Where everything is possible. Bringing unrestricted reflections of balance. Perfect in its ability to know and accept the learning of the third dimension. All things are known. Peace fills space with knowledge, compassion, empathy, and understanding.
At this time of the year, we are striking the balance. As we approach the New Year, @ Halloween, and the Dark Season begins. This is a time of justice and truth. It is here that the veil thins. We draw back, closer and closer to the hedge. We need to go through the dark night of the soul, in order to get to the other side.
The two sides of us, conscious and unconscious meet in the middle in the veil. The two worlds reconcile, which can cause confusion, bewilderment.
The dreams come closer, and things go bump in the night. The muses visit more often while we sleep. Waking us up in the dead of night, with ideas to contemplate. You must watch you don’t fall back, as by morning you will forget the message.
This is the slow season. A time to reflect, as the Moon wanes and we shed completely our innocence, trust or inhibitions. A time to protect ourselves. Nourish ourselves through nutrition, bathing, sleeping and meditation. To take time to release old patterns or wounds and start fresh in the new season.
This is also a time of justice, as the Sun straddled the equator. When the sun lies flat upon the earth in both directions. Sunrise and Sunset. Visioning the red and golden oranges of the skies, while the leaves fall upon the earth. Comforting mother Gaia in her grieve of her lost daughter.
We can call upon Artemis, the goddess of the thresholds. Guiding us through our dreams, across the hedge and into the other world. Mercury or Hermes, escorts Persephone on her return to the underworld. Mercury now in the dark shadows of Scorpio, reaches deep in our psychic giving us the truth of our lives. Take the time to sweep your threshold and hang a wreath upon the door for protection.
Breathing in the light and releasing the darkness. Feeling the coolness from the biting winds that bear down upon us. Catching our breath in mystical magic of ice as we inhale a new season. Leaving us breathless.
Make the medicine, as the light draws back and darkness descends. Gather your herbs like elderberry, hibiscus, burdock and dandelion. Watching the steam rise as we inhale the steam. Stashing away tinctures, ointments and creams to ease your aching bones, sooth your headaches, and calming your nerves. The bite is hard, and we will need each other as life draws back and we sale back in time with a good book and a warm blanket.
This is a good time to work your magic. Set an alter up, representing your Gratitude and ask for a fresh beginning as we enter the shadow. Place your ancestors on the mantle as they become closer to you at this time, asking for their assistance. Brew some hot soup and throw in some basil, marjoram and some bay leaves to bring you luck. Stir your life with refreshment, while you bath away your problems. Protect yourself with a nice cup of tea, laced with mint and a hint of chocolate. Smudge your home and place a selenite bar in the marriage bedroom. Buy a new plant or fresh flowers to uplift your spirit. Write your truth down as you visualize opportunities. Smooth the creases of life. Set the motion of your desires forward and come back to the center of your being. Understand that you are the only one who can give you new life.
