We are proud to shine the spotlight on Mia Brun del Re, our March Sporty Spotlight!

Mia is a 16‑year‑old high‑level cross‑country skier with . Racing since the age of six, she has gained experience by racing in Quebec and at major events, including this year’s National Championships in Mont‑Sainte‑Anne, where she finished 9th. Last year at the National Championships in Canmore, Alberta she earned a bronze medal in the classic sprint. She returned to Canmore again this year to race among the best U20 athletes in the country for World Junior Trials, placing 16th despite being three years younger than many of the top competitors. She hopes to keep learning and progressing as she works toward competing on the highest stage one day. Mia also aims to inspire the next generation of athletes by showing how hard work, perseverance, and having fun can make all the difference.

🏒Des batailles sur la patinoire dans son jardin à Wakefield, au Québec, aux buts marqués pour les Loups des Collines U-11 BB

Nous sommes fiers de mettre à l’honneur Lucas DeFranco, 10 ans, notre athlète du mois de février !

Bien qu’il n’en soit qu’à sa deuxième année de hockey organisé, Lucas fait déjà ses preuves. Les années passées à patiner et à tirer au but sur la patinoire de son jardin avec ses frères aînés lui ont permis d’acquérir la confiance dont il fait preuve sur la glace cette saison, et cela porte ses fruits.

Travailleur, réceptif aux conseils et toujours positif, Lucas donne le meilleur de lui-même chaque fois qu’il monte sur la glace. 💪Continue comme ça, Lucas ! Ta communauté t’encourage !

Only in his second year of organized hockey, Lucas is already making his mark. Years of skating and shooting on his backyard rink with his older brothers have helped build the confidence he’s showing on the ice this season and it’s paying off.

We are proud to be sponsoring the Low Down’s Sporty Spotlight for another year! Congratulations to January’s selected Sporty Spotlight 🏂
Raised on the slopes of , Griffin started snowboarding at age 4. Riding every possible day, Griffin entered his first SBX race at 11.
Last season, he placed 2nd overall in NorAm, 3rd at Nationals with and won himself a spot on the World Cup for the 25/26 season.
Griffin competed at the World Cup in Italy and is hoping to race in Turkey and France World Cups before the final stop
